About James
At the age of 17 I had to make the choice of attending the Air Force or accepting a photography scholarship. I chose photography – a career that, as it turns out, has lead me to spend a considerable amount of time in the air: whether flying to a remote location, shooting from a helicopter, or dangling from a crane to get the perfect shot.
Color, energy, and movement are the hallmarks of my photography. This is evident whether I am photographing kids discovering the wonders of New York for I Love NY’s latest campaign – or my recent International Ad campaign for Microsoft involving more than 30 talent and a multitude of continents and languages.
For the past several years, I have lived between New York City and Miami, shooting for clients such as American Express, Shire, Outback Steakhouse, Burger King, Microsoft, I Love NY Tourism, and Florida Tourism. Specializing in location photography has given me the opportunity to shoot projects all over the world – from promotional campaigns for resorts in the Caribbean, Motion & Still production for Mississippi Power, to aerial images in Tuscany. Recently Vision Ease Lens sent me to Las Vegas, New York, New Orleans, Rio de Janeiro and Paris, France to capture some of the world’s most renowned locations.
When not working, I am playing just as hard. I enjoying hanging out with my family, participating in any kind of water sport, traveling, working on different hobbies, and volunteering by teaching safe boating classes.
